follows the same basic processes. The only crucial difference is<br />
that rising, mixing and baking are all done inside the machine.<br />

<p>Yeast</p>
<p>As we have noted earlier, yeast yields the body for the bread.<br />
Yeast is a one-celled plant that feeds on starches and sugar<br />
which in return, gives off carbon dioxide- a leading element in<br />
raising the size of your dough. Since it is a living organism,<br />
it can be vulnerable to very harsh conditions such as too hot or<br />
too salty environment.</p>
<p>But yeast takes considerable time to activate in the dough, more<br />
often 45 to more than an hour. That is why you often see that<br />
recipes require the use of another yeast breed - rapid-rise<br />
yeast. This is a special formulation that can be mixed directly<br />
into the dry ingredients.</p>
<p>All bread machines are not created equal. Please note of the<br />
maximum size your bread machine yields and the estimated size of<br />
the recipe that you will bake. Bread machines can either make 1<br />
pound, 1 ? pound or two-pound loaves. Please be sure to follow<br />

minutes but do not open the oven’s door. Also, cool on counter<br />
for another 60 minutes then refrigerate. You can serve it when<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Almost everyone, except vegetarians and vegans, loves a good steak.  <a href="http://technorati.com/tag/cooking" rel="tag"> Cooking</a> one in your back yard can be just as good (and much cheaper) than going out to the local steakhouse.  There are really very few “rules” and they are simple to follow.</p>
<p>First, there’s not much you can do without a good cut of meat to start with. When shopping for a nice cut, be sure to choose a steak that has nice marbling throughout the steak.  This will help ensure that the meat grills up nice and tender.  Be sure to take the steaks out of the refrigerator about a half hour before you plan on grilling them. Letting the steak come to room temperature before grilling is always a good idea. It will help speed up the cooking time and in return you’ll have a juicer steak.</p>
<p>The second secret has to do with the grill itself. No, it doesn’t matter who makes the grill&#8230; what matters most is the amount of charcoal you use. You want to use enough charcoal to cover one half to two thirds of the grilling area.  You will leave the rest of the grilling area without charcoal so you will have a spot to place the meat if there happens to be a flare up.  You can just move the steak over and wait for the flare to stop.</p>
<p>To start the charcoal, pile it all up in the middle of the grill, cover it in lighter fluid (following the directions on the bottle), light it and then let it go for fifteen or twenty minutes.  That will be long enough for the coals to get hot enough and they should turn mostly white. Once it’s ready, spread the coals out covering half the grilling area and place the metal grill grid over the coals so it can get nice and hot (let it sit there for a few minutes).  Now it is ready for the steak.</p>
<p>While the grill was getting nice and hot, you should be getting the room temperature steaks ready. Simply take some olive oil and sprinkle the tops of the steaks. Rub the oil over the entire top and then sprinkle some salt on it. You can also sprinkle pepper, or any other rubs on the steak at this time too. Then, turn the steaks over and do the same thing to the other side.  Now you are ready to start grilling.</p>
<p>Place the steaks on the grill (the hottest part over the coals). You will want to wait about three minutes and then you will flip the steaks.  Let them cook on that side for three minutes and then flip them over again. You will flip the steak over every three minutes or so for a total cooking time of twelve to fifteen minutes. Twelve minutes should make the average steak done to medium well. If the grill flares up at any time, just move the steaks to the other side that has no coals. When the flare up stops, then move them back.</p>
<p>It’s always better to take the steaks off the grill too early instead of too late.  You can always toss it back on the grill. When you remove the steaks from the grill, put them on a platter and cover it loosely with aluminum foil. The steaks will continue to cook and redistribute juices for the next five to ten minutes.</p>

<p>1.  Only use ground chuck that is 20% fat. If you try to use ground chuck that has less fat content, the burgers tend to be dry. You definitely don’t want that to happen. Ground chuck is also the most flavorful type of ground beef.</p>
<p>2.  Light the grill and get it going.</p>
<p>3.  Start with a handful of ground chuck about the size of a baseball. Form a ball with it, then use your hands to flatten it out to about two-thirds of an inch in thickness. Once that is done, you can make an indentation in the middle of the newly formed hamburger. This will keep the burger from becoming round while you grill it.  Sprinkle both sides of the burger with salt and pepper.</p>
<p>4.  You are now ready to place the burgers on the grill. Wait about four minutes and then flip the burgers over. Cook for another four minutes and they should be just about done. (The cooking time will vary a little depending on the temperature of the grill.) Do not use the spatula to press down on the burgers while they cook. Doing so will only cause flare ups and make your burger VERY tough and dry. To make sure the burgers are done, you can either open one up with a spatula, or you can check the temperature with a digital thermometer.  Personally, I like to use the thermometer.</p>
<p>5.  While the burgers are grilling, it’s time to toast the buns. The best way to do that is lightly butter each side of the bun and place it on a non-stick skillet. Toast until golden brown.</p>
<p>6.  Put your grilled burgers on the toasted bun, add any condiments you like and enjoy!</p>
<p>The USDA recommends that all ground hamburger be cooked to an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A good stir fry meal is both tasty and lower in fat than traditionally cooked meals. Most people have the idea that cooking stir fry is difficult, but in reality it?s not.  Here?s how to cook a sensational stir fry.</p>
<p>1. You need a good wok. Is this absolutely necessary? No, but nothing can take the place of a good wok when cooking stir fry, and the meals won?t turn out quite the same or as low in fat if you use a regular pan instead of a wok.  The wok doesn?t need to be expensive to work well, but be sure you choose a wok that will work with your type of stove. (A wok for an electric stove will be different than a wok for a gas stove.) Also, if your wok is new, you will need to season it. Follow the directions that the manufacturer sends with your particular wok. You will also need a wooden spoon or something similar (not metal).</p>
<p>2. You will need to choose a type of oil to cook with. Different oils will vary in the amount and type of flavor they add to your food. Experiment and try different oils to see which you like best. The most common oils to use are olive oil, vegetable oil, canola oil, corn oil, grape seed oil, peanut oil, and sunflower oil.</p>
<p>3. Prepare all the ingredients for the stir fry and have them ready and near the wok. Stir frying is fast cooking, so you won?t have time to cut or chop any ingredients after you start cooking. Try and cut all the vegetables and meat into the same bite-sized pieces. This step will actually take you the longest.</p>
<p>4. Start heating your wok on medium-high to high and add some oil. Start with a couple tablespoons of oil the first time you stir fry and then adjust as needed. Once the oil is hot, you can start cooking. Most people like to cook the meat first and then set it aside in a dish? this is a good idea and you can add the meat back into the walk after the vegetables are cooked most of the way through.  By the time the meat is hot again, the vegetables will be done. You will want to cook the vegetables in the order of how long it takes them to cook. You would start with the thicker vegetables like potatoes and carrots and add faster cooking vegetables like mushrooms last.</p>
<p>5. Remove the stir fry from the wok and enjoy.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Nutrition is often an overlooked component of sports training and performance. In reality, nutrition plays a major role in how athletes perform.</p>
<p>There really isn’t just one post-game meal.  Post-game meals should actually happen in two different parts.</p>
<p>Part one happens between fifteen and thirty minutes after the game is over. At this point you should have a small snack such as yogurt, energy bar, pretzels, crackers, or at least drink a sports drink.  This will help to start replacing the glycogen reserves that got depleted.  Your muscles are in a very vulnerable state at this point and they will absorb glycogen like a sponge.  It’s critical to get some glycogen back into your body.</p>
<p>About two hours after the snack, you should have a regular meal. This meal should also be high in carbohydrates since you are trying to replenish what you lost during the exercise, but it can also contain more protein than you had in the pre-game meal.</p>
<p>A good rule of thumb for the regular post game meal is to make sure you consume about 500 calories for every hour of physical activity.  Now, this doesn’t mean that since football game lasted 3 hours, that you should be eating 1,500 calories at your next meal. You may have only had 1.5 hours of activity and stood on the sidelines for the rest of the time.  In this case you would want to make sure and eat about 750 calories.</p>
<p>Many athletes, especially those who are looking to lose weight, will not want to eat after they exercise. They figure that they just worked out to burn calories and they shouldn’t be eating more calories right away.</p>
<p>In reality, their body will be craving the things it burned during the exercise and by denying yourself food after exercise, you will be much more likely to binge and eat a larger amount of food than if you eat normally after exercise.</p>
<p>As always, be sure to also drink lots of water.</p>
